I am a woman shaped by faith, family, experience, curiosity, and a continuing desire to live with purpose.
Leadership is an important part of my life, but it is not the whole of who I am. Beyond the titles, I am a wife, mother, lifelong learner, writer, reader, traveler, and community builder who values integrity, meaningful relationships, thoughtful work, and a life grounded in service.

Pia Copeland is an author, visionary founder, and community builder whose work is rooted in faith, resilience, purpose, and the transformative power of women supporting women.
In 1989, writing as Pia Althea Clarke, she was one of 160 writers honored from more than 12,000 entries with an Editor’s Choice Award from The National Library of Poetry. Her poem “Wedding Night” was published in the anthology Days of Future’s Past.
Her forthcoming memoir, Rooted in Grace™, traces the experiences that shaped the woman, leader, and builder she has become. Written with honesty, warmth, and reflection, the memoir offers a deeply personal story of surviving, healing, becoming, and discovering that grace can take root even in life's most difficult seasons.
Pia is also developing Beyond the Gathering™: A Founder's Guide to Building a Women's Community With Purpose, Structure, Leadership, and Staying Power. Drawing from her lived experience as the founder of DS&P Ladies™ | The House of Gemz™, the book will explore what it truly takes to build a women's community that is meaningful, well-led, and designed to endure.
She is the founder of Golden Daisy Press™, the independent publishing imprint through which her books and future literary works will be published.
Whether she is writing, leading, mentoring, or creating spaces for connection, Pia's work carries one consistent invitation: to honor the woman you have been, embrace the woman you are becoming, and build something worthy of the lives you are called to touch.

The Writer Was
Always There
Long before Pia Copeland stepped forward publicly as an author and established Golden Daisy Press™, writing had already found a place in her life.
In 1989, Pia submitted a poem to The National Library of Poetry’s North American Poetry Competition. Her work was selected for an Editor’s Choice Award, an honor awarded to 160 individuals from more than 12,000 entries. Her poem was also selected for publication in the hardcover anthology Days of Future’s Past.
It was an early affirmation of a creative voice that life would eventually call forward again.
In the decades that followed, Pia’s story continued to unfold through family, motherhood, education, professional leadership, community building, service, faith, resilience, and personal growth. Writing may not have occupied the center of every season, but the writer was always there.
More than three decades later, that early thread has become part of a much larger story. Today, Pia is an author and the Founder & Publisher of Golden Daisy Press™, writing about faith, resilience, purpose, leadership, and legacy.
Her forthcoming memoir, Rooted in Grace™, represents not the beginning of her relationship with words, but a return to something that had been present all along.

The Woman Behind the Work
A life shaped by
growth and service.
My story is not defined by a single title or achievement. It has been shaped over time through faith, family, professional experience, personal growth, and a deep desire to use what I have learned in service to others.
I am also a proud twin. My lifelong bond with my twin sister, Mia, has helped shape my understanding of sisterhood, connection, and the quiet strength of having someone walk beside you through life. I also have a half brother, Jaime, who lives in Canada. My parents were born in Jamaica, and that heritage remains a meaningful part of my identity, values, and connection to family.
Experience taught me to listen, prepare, solve problems, care for people, and bring structure to ideas. Education reinforced the value of discipline and reminded me that it is never too late to grow. Writing gives me room to reflect. Reading keeps me curious. Travel continues to expand my understanding of culture, history, and the remarkable diversity of God's creation.
I value excellence, but I also value humility. I believe thoughtful leadership requires both confidence and the willingness to remain teachable. The work matters, but so do the relationships, decisions, and quiet acts of care that shape how the work is carried forward.

Leadership is strengthened by the experiences that keep us grounded, curious, reflective, and connected. These quieter dimensions of life continually renew my perspective without becoming separate from the values that guide my work.
At Home
I am deeply grateful for my husband, my children, and our two doggie babies. Their love and companionship remind me that leadership begins at home through presence, partnership, encouragement, and care.
In the Pages
Reading has long been one of the ways I remain curious. Leadership, faith, history, personal growth, and the stories of courageous women continue to enrich how I think and see the world.
Across Cultures
Travel invites me to slow down, notice beauty, appreciate history, and learn from communities beyond what is familiar. It is a continuing source of perspective and gratitude.
In Quiet Moments
Prayer, wellness, reflection, and meaningful conversation create room for clarity. They help me return to the work renewed, grounded, and attentive.
Authenticity Matters
Influence begins with
how we show up.
Leadership is not only about titles, accomplishments, or the organizations we build.
It is also about showing up with integrity, humility, compassion, and a genuine desire to serve others. I want my work and my relationships to reflect the same values: respect for people, care in the details, honesty in decision-making, and the willingness to remain myself while continuing to grow.
The greatest influence we have often comes through consistency, presence, and the way others experience our character.
What I Carry Forward
A life still
being shaped.
I continue to learn, write, travel, reflect, build, and serve. I carry forward gratitude for the people who have encouraged me, respect for the lessons each season has offered, and a commitment to live with faith, integrity, compassion, and purpose.
I do not believe becoming has a finish line. There is always more wisdom to gain, more care to offer, and another opportunity to leave something meaningful in the lives of others.
