Information you choose to send

The contact links open your email application. Clicking an email link does not send a message automatically. There is no account registration or checkout on this website.

If you send an email, Pia receives your email address, name if provided, message, and any attachments you choose to include. Please share only what is relevant to your inquiry and avoid sending sensitive personal information.

The optional book-news form collects your email address and your agreement to receive occasional book and publication updates from Pia Copeland. The website privately stores your email address, the consent wording and version, the time you signed up, the page used to sign up, and a personal unsubscribe token. The form does not request a name, address, phone number, or payment details.

How your information is used

Information you send is used to respond to your inquiry, discuss a speaking engagement or collaboration, and maintain relevant correspondence. Sending an inquiry does not subscribe you to marketing emails.

Email is handled through email-service providers. For an inquiry intended for another organization, please contact that organization directly through its official website.

Book-news signups are used to maintain Pia’s reader list and share news about her books and publication milestones. Joining this list does not sign you up for DS&P Ladies™, The DS&P Foundation, Inc., or another organization’s communications. The signup currently saves your request; it does not send an automatic confirmation email.

You may leave the list using your personal unsubscribe link or by emailing hello@piacopeland.com. Unsubscribing through the website removes your signup record. A personal unsubscribe link can remove your signup, so avoid sharing it publicly.

Website features and external services

The site does not include an advertising pixel or an author-installed analytics tracker. Its destination search and filters operate within the page and do not submit your search to Pia.

The Magazine page includes embedded previews provided by Heyzine. Loading those previews connects your browser to Heyzine, which receives the technical information needed to serve them, such as your IP address and browser request. Its own privacy and cookie practices apply. See Heyzine’s Privacy Policy.

Some fonts and images load from external providers. Your browser contacts those providers to display the content. Hosting and delivery services also handle technical requests needed to deliver and secure the website. Provider-level logging and cookie practices are governed by those services; the absence of an author-installed tracker does not mean that no technical information is processed.

The site’s own page code does not set cookies or save visitor profiles in browser storage. External embedded services may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies. Your browser settings allow you to manage cookies and third-party content, although restricting them may affect embedded previews.

Links to books, social profiles, organizations, donation platforms, and other resources take you to independently operated services. Review their policies before submitting information. This website does not receive or process Foundation donations or book payments.

Retention and care

Correspondence should be retained only as needed to handle the inquiry, maintain relevant professional records, and meet applicable obligations. Book-news signup records remain on the private reader list until you unsubscribe or request removal. You may ask about access, correction, or deletion of information you have sent; some correspondence may need to be retained for legitimate administrative or legal reasons.

Book-news signup records are stored through the website’s hosting services and are not displayed publicly. Reasonable care is taken with personal information, but no website or email service can guarantee complete security. Please use care when deciding what to send.
